8th World Congress

On behalf of the IJBRC Executive Committee, we thank the Keynote and Invited Speakers, Presenters of research papers, Exhibitors and Attendees for a very successful 8th World Congress in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.Plans are beginning for the 9th World Congress, location and dates to be determined.Watch the ijbrc.org website for regular updates.


Mission / Mandate

Under the auspices of ACI to advance the knowledge of joints, bearings, and seismic devices for all types of civil engineering and building structures by accomplishing the following:

  • To identify Research and Development needs more fully.

  • To encourage Research and Development investigations in the laboratory and the field of both private and public organizations and to seek financial support.

  • To report Research and Development in progress and maintain contact with Congress participants (and others expressing interest) worldwide on at least a semi-annual basis by a newsletter or other appropriate means.

  • To provide an organizational nucleus for planning future World Congresses on joints, bearings and seismic devices for concrete structures.

  • To maintain close liaison with other research councils and technical committees.

  • To undertake such other activities as the IJBRC may determine will advance the state-of-the-art and the utility of joints, bearings and seismic devices in all types of civil engineering and building structure.
